Wyre News is operated by Floof Digital LLC. Reading it means accepting what follows. If any of it does not suit you, the remedy is simple: stop using the site. There is no account to close.
What the service actually is
Wyre runs two different things under one masthead, and they carry different terms.
The seven reporting desks publish headlines, publication credits and timestamps, each one linking to the original publisher's page. They do not host, reproduce or excerpt article text, and they are not a substitute for reading the story at the source. Every headline remains the work and the property of the publication that filed it.
The OpEd desk publishes opinion written by Floof Digital LLC in full. It is labelled opinion, it is not reporting, and it should not be read as a statement of fact about any person or company named in it. Those essays also appear in Floof Thoughts, the sister publication where they originate.
Publisher rights
Nothing here asserts ownership over any publisher's headline, mark or reporting. Any publisher may have its source removed from the routing on request, with no explanation required and nothing argued about. Write to abby@floofdigital.com; the process is set out on Contact.
Wyre's own material
The Wyre News name, the hawk mark, the site design, the desk structure and the code behind it belong to Floof Digital LLC, as do the essays on the OpEd desk. Quote them with attribution and a link, the same courtesy Wyre extends to every publication it carries. Reproducing one in full is a different thing and needs asking first.
The RSS feeds are free to read, subscribe to and quote from with attribution. They are not free to republish wholesale as your own product.
Acceptable use
Read the site, subscribe to the feeds, link to anything. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, defeat its rate limits, or harvest it at a volume that degrades it for anyone else. The RSS feeds exist precisely so that automated reading does not require scraping the pages.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is. Wyre makes no promise that it will be available, that a link will resolve, that a timestamp is exact, or that a paywall stamp is correct in every case. Story selection is automated and automation is imperfect. Anything you rely on, verify at the source.
Third-party links and content
Nearly every link leaves this site. Wyre does not control, endorse or take responsibility for anything on a publisher's page, including its accuracy, its advertising or its own handling of your data. The presence of a story on a desk is not an endorsement of its conclusions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Floof Digital LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or from reliance on anything found through it.
Changes
These terms can change, and the date below moves when they do materially. Continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the revised version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
